FOR NOMADS
Be a Great Nomad
Working from cafés and pubs is appealing — the buzz, the atmosphere, the change of scene. But these venues weren’t designed as offices. They exist for coffee, food, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe.
Being Nomadex Approved means respecting that — and following the Nomadex Standard: seven simple rules for working well in shared spaces.

THE CODE
Venues Promoting Nomadex
Signage in venues points customers towards the standard code to be Nomadex Approved.

AGREEMENT
A Polite Rule Setter
Venues want you to enjoy your visit. They just really need you to take part as a customer.

TAKE PRIDE
Show you Care
Stick to the rules, take pride in doing so. Why not grab some Nomadex Approved swag so the Barista knows you're going to be well behaved.

1. Spend
Be an active customer buying at least an item per hour.
2. Food
Eat during dine times, or at least make room for diners.
3. Space
Use a suitable-sized table/bar. Meeting? You’re all customers.
4. Calls
No loud call voices, headphones on. Cameras not facing other customers.
5. Tidy
Don’t ‘desktop’ the table by making a muddle of your stuff.
6. Power
Fine to plug into power if near you. No dangerous dangling cables.
7. Staff
If staff request relocation, please comply, no arguments.
Be the nomad everyone is relieved to see.
Not depressed by.
